HOW IT WORKS:

The idea is to swap different bits of yarn (and ribbon and strips of fabric) out of your stash In Angelic Colors for late winter early spring (such as Different Whites, Creams, Light pinks and blues) around to multiple people, and in the end we will all have enough to make Rapunzel scarves.

Here is a link to the famous Rapunzel Scarf: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=72581.0

The basic scarf is made from 30 different pieces of ten foot yarn. (Ribbons, strips of fabric, etc.)

To participate in this swap, you will need to send 6 DIFFERENT pieces of ten-foot lengths of yarn (etc) to five partners. (Total = 30 pieces).

Remember to include your user name in your swap package so that your partner knows who it's from.

Depending on the number of people who sign up, this number may need to be tweaked a bit, so please remain flexible on the matter. You may need to send a little more or less to make everything fair and even.

Depending on the number of participants, we may get to express a few preferences. Please list them below.

This swap is a little different from other swaps in that you will be shipping to multiple partners. The good news is that your yarn (etc.) can fit in an envelope and will weight very little.

I will be an angel for this swap and also I will ban those who I don’t see fit or dependable for this swap.

No Sending wire ribbon or anything that you wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing against your skin

International because it won’t cost much to send

is the idea to send pastel colors?

I'd prefer to get only yarn, no ribbon or fabric, please.

I think you meant to say "winter" colors?

Magpieandluna 11/20/2008 #

oops yes i did lol the colors are supposed to be late winter going into spring so i chose Different Whites, Creams, Light pinks and blues

I would prefer no fabrics and mostly whites and creams

I am new to swap-bot, but hope you will let me participate.

I would prefer no fabrics either, and mostly whites and creams (LOVE the Rapunzel scarf!!!)

I would love to join - but can't take on any more swaps during the holidays! Can you do this swap again in the New Year? It sounds like so much fun! :)

I would also like tan/sandy color also if anyone wants to include that. Thanks for doing this swap. I have been admiring them and decided to make the leap this time! I think im going to knit mine into small sections all connected, its a variation I saw on flickr. :-)

Thanks again Krista
