Description:

I just watched one of my favorite movies of all time, Nightmare Before Christmas! Now I'm sure I'm not the only TIm Burton fan in this group, so lets get together to take over Christmas this year, with a Halloween twist! You will take one Christmas item and alter it into a Halloween theme to give to your partner. So let's say you take a Santa hat but you sew a bat on it and make the pom pom black and orange. Or you take a teddy bear and give it fangs and a cape. The item is up to you but it must have started out as a store bought Christmas item and you alter it to make it Halloween. Please do your best work so it will thrill your partner. Let's try to stay away from anything gory, and please, no Santa (excluding the before mentioned hat) or Angel items unless you check with your partner first. You will then take your altered item and put it inside a box that has been wrapped nicely in Christmas paper and tied with a bow! Let's have some fun with this swap! Please message me with any questions. As always, this swap is only for members in good standing with a 4.98 or better rating.

Is it supposed to still look Christmasy when it's done or totally Halloweeny? Or a bit of both?

Rabbitfreedom 11/ 3/2017 #

chinacat, depending on how much you alter it, you might not be able to tell which it is, but there should still be some recognizable element of what it once was - sort of a mash-up between the two

Is there any size requirement? I have a small halloween tree and would love a small item. But was just wondering if it matters how small or big our altered Christmas item is?

Rabbitfreedom 11/17/2017 #

dartha, I did not set a size requirement because we will all be altering different things, from dolls or plush, to ornaments to .. well ..whatever. You could contact your partner to make a request once partners are assigned. Hopefully your partner might also read this thread as well.
