Description:

For our second swap let's create a flip book.

There are loads of tutorials for flip books on youtube and lots of different types to choose from. You may create an envelope flip book (ready made pockets ;+) or create a flip book from scrapbook papers.

If you choose to create an envelope flip book please include 3 (or more if you choose) envelopes so there are at least two folds. If you choose to design your own please make certain there are at least two folds.

There should be at least 2 pockets in your design; please include surprises in the pockets.

The theme is birds, of course! Lots of room for birds, nests, eggs, birdcages, feathers, wings, etc.

If you've never created a flip book, jump right in! The architecture is very simple, especially if you choose to create with envelopes.

It's so wonderful to swap with a group of such creative, lovely ladies!

I have always thought that this is a flip book:

I gather that in this context, it's a kind of folder or wallet?

Hello SuMay . . . the "traditional" meaning of flip book is one that comes to life as you flip through it--sort of like a zoetrope. Contemporary paper crafters have repurposed the title to mean exactly what you thought--a type of folding folder ;+) If you check on youtube for penpal flip book there are many examples. They're fun and easy to create--hope you'll join in the fun!
