Description:

I have always wanted to make a spool quilt. This quilt tutorial seemed to be an answer to my interest. Take a look at it: https://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/2014/09/27/tutorial-spool-shuffle-quilt/

I will host this swap for five months, if there is interest, No, we will not be making all 25 blocks that are needed for this quilt. I thought we would make 5 in order to keep envelopes flat so costs of mailing can be kept low.

For this swap, make block in any color. I thought if swappers would use a cream or white for a background then the quilt, when finished will have a scrappy light background.

So: 1 block spool block of any color following the tutorial, listed above. Background fabric of white or cream. One partner.

Love this swap, but international swaps are too pricy.

I have found that a flat envelope can help keep the cost down.

I am interested in doing private swaps for additional blocks if people want to swap more than once.

this block and swap are so tempting to join, unfortunately I have to watch the postage expense and international postage seems to always be more than I expected

I copied and pasted the link you gave but it brings me back to this swap. Is there another link I should be following to see the tutorial....I might be tempted to join.....wavering

@perkl8r I checked the link above and it worked for me. Give it another try or google Weddingdressblue.wordpress.com and do a search for the tutorial. Perhaps contact @ContraryHousewife to see if she would like to do a private swap.

FWIW, the block fits nicely inside a greeting card and was mailed international for a mere $1.15.

@ContraryHousewife thank you for the info. It's good to know.

I get a list of options, the first two take me back to this swap-bot page the third takes me somewhere I don't understand but it doesn't look like what I need - I hate to be so thick headed but I don't usually have trouble getting to sites so I must be missing something else
