I'd jump right in if it was crochet too. I can knit, but my hands won't let me anymore. :-/

I was thinking of joining until I noticed that you only give 3 weeks to hand knit an item, actually TWO items, because you have TWO swap partners!!!! That is a nearly impossible task to make 2 quality hand knit items in 3 weeks!!

Also, you are open to people with some VERY LOW ratings!! An average of 3.8 means the person has either sent a LOT of "did not meet the basic requirements of the swap" as well as some no-send ratings. 3.8 for a rating average is a very sloppy, not high quality, caring swapper on here. So, you might want to rethink your swap guidelines. Remember that people only get rated as a 1 (did NOT send anything), a 3 (sent something but it did NOT meet the basic guidelines), or a 5 (sent what the swap required to be sent).

To explain it further, a person could have a 3.8 rating who had been in 7 swaps in which one swap was rated 1 (they sent nothing), 2 swaps were rated 3 (they sent something but did not meet the basic swap requirements) and 4 swaps where they actually sent something that met the basic requirements and were rated a 5. OR, they could receive 4 ratings of 3 (did not meet basic swap requirements) and 4 ratings of 5 (met the swap requirements) and ALSO HAVE AN AVERAGE RATING OF 4.0! That's only a 50% they got it right!

I have been swaplifted in 30% of my swaps before I started really paying attention to the quality ratings of the other participants. It's just too risky to sign up for a swap where someone only has to "get it right" in 4 out of 7 or 8 swaps!

I was thinking of joining but was discouraged when I saw the rating on this swap but more so your own rating TigerLily. It is rather sad that you have 10 (1 ratings); that you didn't make an effort on those swaps. And also now not making an effort to correct the rating. So, I am wondering if I join your swap and get you as a partner would YOU flake on me?

to reply to coolbaker5 i will say that most of the ones on my profile were give early last year. After lots of medical issues I was diagnosed with an illness and couldn't really get over it too easily. I have just returned to swap bot after almost a year hiatus and am hoping to contact my partners from that time to correct my no sends. I hope that you can all understand that and join this swap regardless it wil be lots of fun and I will not flake :0)

i have extended to swap to end on Nov 5th to give evryone a good amount of time to get some quality knoitting or crocheting done :0)
