Discussion

shannonlinde 04/ 6/2016 #

Here we go! I think 12 is a good number, for a total of 24 completed.

I am not well versed in too many mediums, so will be experimenting as we go along, so I'd rather not have X number of entries be in a specific medium.

I would not exclude any mediums. I plan to use my scrapbooking and fibers supplies and also experiment with paints and other things I can find tutorials on! I am totally open to anything you want to do in my bible!

I think having the covers be off limits for now is good. If we change our minds later, and if they are still blank later on, we can revisit. I feel like I am way to inexperienced to monkey with your cover!! :)

I would like to have to the end of June if you don't mind. I run our scholarship program and our fundraising event is the last weekend of April and we are moving my mom in with us from North Carolina in mid may and are finishing off our basement for her now!! :)

I was thinking that I will go through some of Rebekah Jones' Journalling prompts from last year and this year to seek out inspiration and different medium uses.

A couple of things!

I am a total beginner and not an artist at all! I am a scrapbooker and quilter, so I thank you so much for still wanting to do this with me!! I am going to do my very best!!

I have been praying about this since you first sent me the article and I really feel like we are on an awesome journey! In the "heartwork" we do in our bibles and also drawing closer God as we work through His Word!

Question: In looking through our bible, I see some pages are blank with lines for journaling. I would like to be able to use those pages for our "heartwork" too, in order to freehand our work. How do you feel about that?

Artistic 04/ 7/2016 #

Hi there! I too am a scrspbooker! Can't wait to see what you do!

June is great.

Love "heartwork"!!

Using the blank journaling pages sounds like a plan. How about scrap at least one of those?

BTW, yesterday I had a good writing day but ended the evening feeling discouraged about my progress since I left my job to write full-time. It's just been 2 months but I don't feel like I have made significant progress. When I came home I was sort of moping, feeling sorry for myself and questioning my decision. My eyes then lit on my pile of happy mail. I picked one.

My guess on the shape was that it may have been a newspaper. But what a surprise I was in for. My moping and feeling down Was over -- Because I was a queen for the day! For the week. "When the battle is over, we shall wear a crown, in the new Jerusalem."

Loved everything, but that one item put the day into perspective.

Thank you my friend!

Artistic 04/ 7/2016 #

The end of June falls on a Thursday, so I just put the send by date as that Saturday. ..which puts it July 2, and seemingly tons of time. LOL!

shannonlinde 04/ 7/2016 #

Oh my goodness!!!! I cannot believe what was in my box today!! Thank you so much for the books! I had no idea whose company I have been in! :) So awesome! I have been trying to find your books online, and then it dawned on me that you might have a different last name than "artistic"! :) So I started one at lunch and now she has been arrested, but I had to get back to work!! Oh the suspense!!! I can't wait to get home!

I am so glad your envie perked up your day!! I'll be praying for progress. It has to be quite a transition for you, going from your regular job to full time writing.

July 2 sounds perfect!! And you know what, on July 2nd, we'll say t each other " How that time flew!!"

Oh!! I am going to the Scrapbook Expo in Milwaukee on April 16th! I'll see if there are a few things you and I can't live without and pick them up for us!! :)

Oh! Do we need to go ahead and send each other our bibles now so we are jounaling our verses in the other's bible, not our own?

I am working on my verses to put here in our comment section. I think you first comment disappeared.

Thank you again so much for your books!! I think I told you have a girl's weekend in Chicago for the International Quilt Festival, but now I just want to say home and read!! YIKES!!! Not enough hours in the day!!
xxoo Shannon

shannonlinde 04/ 7/2016 #

Ignore this question on the above lenghty post. "Oh! Do we need to go ahead and send each other our bibles now so we are jounaling our verses in the other's bible, not our own?"

I lost my mind for a minute!! We will do some work in our own bibles and some in each other's! Sorry!

Artistic 04/ 7/2016 #

I'm going to Scrapbook Expo in June in Chantily, Va (about 3 1/2-4 hours north of where I live). Can't wait!! Loved it last year. I did EVERYTHING! LOL. Took three classes, did the card swap, both crops, the mega make-and-take. I didn't have time to even get to the entire floor of vendors! Ha! Still bought a lot -- that I've committed to using -- or at least opening! -- before the next one rolls around. :)

Yours is coming up fast. Are you taking any classes or doing any of the activities?

Last year, I won the crop costume contest Saturday night. I was the "Little-Known Good Witch of the Southeast." :) The theme was Wizard of Oz. You'll have to tell me what not to miss when it comes my way in June.

Artistic 04/ 7/2016 #

Hope you'll enjoy the books. :)

Artistic 04/ 7/2016 #

I joined Club Scrap last year at the Expo. I've really enjoyed the swaps, challenges and camaraderie there. The monthly kits (I get the Lite kit) are AWESOME!

shannonlinde 04/11/2016 #

Oh my goodness!! I went to the quilt expo and I ended up sitting down for about two hours in the middle of those spectacular quilt so keep reading "Sweet Devotion"!! What a wonderful book, Felicia! It had me laughing in parts and weeping in parts. Amber's story was so heartbreaking, familiar and triumphant all in one. I could picture in my mind what you were writing. Thank you so very much for the books. On to the next!!

Sounds like you covered a lot of ground at your last expo!! I am not going to be able to take any classes. It turns out that my hubby is going to have to drive me to Milwaukee and read a book or some football magazines while I make the rounds! There is so much construction going on, that I would have a migraine if I had to drive in it!! I'll have to look into the Club Scraps! I am hoping to get some fun embellishments for our Bible Journaling!!

In regards to this question: Using the blank journaling pages sounds like a plan. How about scrap at least one of those? ... I say yes, we can scrap at least one of those.

also, on this question: Is there a technique from your blogger/podcast pal that can be employed for an entry or two?... Rebekah R Jones has lots of different techniques on her blog. I think I am going to spend some time looking through and seeing which ones I am brave enough to try!! :) The good thing is that I am "practicing" in my bible first, not yours!!

I am honestly up for anything at all in terms of techniques and anything that you want to do in my bible! Anything at all! I don't think we can really go wrong. I have been praying about this and will continue to do so as I work through our bibles. I love this act of worshipping as we do our heartwork.

One thing that has come up on blog posts is in regards to covering up the words in the Bible. Some people work on the entire page and others are opposed to covering up the words. Some will cover lightly with color, but be able to see the words. What are your thoughts on this? I am okay with covering words, only because this is not my study bible. This is my art journaling bible.

I am wondering if there might be a time we could talk in the phone? I am not sure I make a lot of sense when I am trying to type all this out!! :0)

One last thing, I promise!! I am going through to get my verses to put here in our swap area!! :)

Artistic 04/14/2016 #

My initial hesitation on Bible art journaling was covering up the words. But because this Bible is specifically FOR art, I'm okay with it. :)

I had the same thoughts about practicing in mine too and not messing up yours.

I'm so glad you enjoyed 'Sweet Devotion.' Thanks for reading!

Artistic 04/14/2016 #

To be totally honest... I'm scared I'm going to mess up! I've done a couple of pages with colored pencils. Taking a wet medium to a page is frightening! I know once I start I'll be fine. :)

shannonlinde 04/14/2016 #

Oh my goodness!! I have been scared to mess YOURS up, because I am NO kind of artist, but I am a SUPERB embellisher!! I can put on a crystal sticker, fabric flower and chipboard like no body's business! :)

I can tell you that there is NO way you can mess up my bible!! I think the fun of this is in the experimenting and learning as we go! And, pictures really stick in my mind, so I feel like I will be memorizing scripture better too!

If there is anything you would NOT want in your bible, just let me know. I am up for all things!! Although, I have only used color pencils so far as well! I have everything I need to use watercolors, acrylic paints and gelatos, but haven't been that brave yet. But, I'll get there!!!

Oh! Rebekah R Jones has a free on line class on line that I am going to take a peek at! it is at www.rebekahrjones.com if you want to take a peek!

Oh!! I just started my next book! I am so excited!! I intend to read it this weekend, after I get back from the Scrapbooking Expo in Milwaukee!! I registered early so I get a swag bag!! I remember the AWESOME Week of Happy Envies you sent to me right after one of your expos!!! It was so much fun to open up all those envies!!

Oh dear! I do seem to rattle on when I get on here!! Sorry!!! I just get so excited talking to you!

Letting you go now!!! Don't forget to let me know if there is anything you don't want anything in your Bible. :) xxoo Shannon

Artistic 04/14/2016 #

I can't think of anything I wouldn't want.

Have fun at the Expo.

shannonlinde 04/15/2016 #

Me either!! I am having a hard time sitting through this day, in anticipation for tomorrow!! :) Have a great weekend!! xxoo Shannon

Oh dear! I have no idea how all that weird formatting got in there! I just typed in my page numbers and the verse, but it changed everything!! I'll try this again.

Oh! I am so happy you got your goodies!! It was fun for sure, but you were right about it being overwhelming! Next time, I need to have a game plan of what I want to see for sure at all the booths!!

Let me give my list another whirl!

How are you coming along?

I'm enjoying the experience. Discovered a couple of things: I'm either allergic to Liquitex clear gesso or working with it makes my hands peel. I wore gloves when I did an entry this week and had no problems.

So far I've used: clear and white gesso, acrylic paints, colored pencils, watercolor paint, stamping, Zig and Pigma markers, ink, stickers, cardstock and a paper flower.

My favorites are the colored pencils and the watercolor.

It may be the scrapbooker in me, but I've found myself doing some two-page spreads on occasion. This seems to happen mostly if I use gesso, but I did do a color pencil 2-pager and love I! (I also got a great story idea from the chapter!)

I usually begin with prayer, and then read the Scripture on the page before then reading the entire section or chapter for the context.

I'm going to have to pick up the pace to have all of the pages done and ready to mail by July.

After all my trepidation about starting, I'm SO glad we're doing this!!

Artistic 05/15/2016 #

Came across this while trying to find any other Tyndale-sponsored workshops:

http://kindawonderful.typepad.com/pinkpaperpeppermints/free-bible-journaling-scripture-art-workshop.html

Artistic 05/15/2016 #

You asked about writing: fiction is done THREE ways, laptop, longhand in spiral notebooks (I buy a year's worth -12 to 15 or so- every summer during back to school sales!), and via voice recognition on cell phone. :) in essence, I'm high- and low-tech. :)

shannonlinde 05/15/2016 #

Good Afternoon!! Well, I am a bit behind, to be honest! We came into some trouble here on the homefront in doing the basement for my mom to move in next week! I'll tell you, plumbing and carpet trouble is quite a pain!

The workshop was a lot of fun yesterday! Amber Bolton was the speaker and a lady from Tyndale was there too! They had supplies for us to use on the table and Amber walked us through her process and we did a page! LifeWay Christian Bookstores have Inspire Bible Art Journaling workshops, but we don't have any near us. Maybe you do in your area?

So far, I have used acrylic paint, watercolor pens, and colored pencils. And my scrapbooking embellishments. I really like using those a lot!

I will be doing some two page spreads as well! I think that is totally the scrapbooker in us!!

I use the same process as you, it sounds like. Praying first then reading the whole chapter to get a sense of the meaning. I am finding I refer to my study bible quite a bit as well!

I also will have to pick up my pace for our July date. I feel like I lost a month, with my basement nonsense! :)

I have a little treat from the conference to send to you, so keep your eyes towards the mail! Nothing huge, just a little ditty!

I love that you are both high and low tech!! That is awesome!! I have a picture in my head of you writing away in your notebooks! I so enjoyed reading your books!!!

Well, I am off to work on a page! I am SOOOO happy I am practicing in my Bible first!!

xxoo Shannon :)

shannonlinde 05/16/2016 #

WOW!! I went on the peppermint website and now I want to make a page with fabric somehow! What awesome ideas there! Thanks for sharing that link! I realized I have the wrong gesso, so I ordered from Amazon and it should be here today! Yaye!!! I am on my way!!!

shannonlinde 05/18/2016 #

Hey!! I worked with GESSO last night and my heat gun and the papers you gave me! The Gesso made my page a little wrinkly, but that's okay! I am working on the rainbow page, so used a little bit of watercolor! I did learn that the end of a heatgun gets HOT HOT HOT! It was my first time!! :)

I ordered some gel pens that I am excited to try! Hope your week is going well!! xxoo Shannon :O)

Artistic 05/19/2016 #

Hi there! I'm actually at a writers' retreat this week. We're in Corolla, N.C. on the Outer Banks. It's been overcast and rainy-- perfect for writing, not so much for hanging on the beach.

And yes, I have my Bible and art/craft supplies with me. :)

Be careful with that heat gun. We don't want/need any ER or urgent care visits!

shannonlinde 05/19/2016 #

Oh how AWESOME!!!! That sounds like a wonderful weekend! I hope your writing mojo is on full force! :) Oh I love the beach!! It is my most favorite place to be!! I may be part mermaid!! :) I bet you could find a verse in your Bible about water or the sea and journal it!!

I actually ordered a different heat gun that is currently waiting for me in my mail box! With a lower heat!! That Amazon is going to get me in trouble! Enjoy the rest of your retreat!!

I am on my second page and now that I have been brave, I am HOOKED on this Bible Art Journaling! I love getting into His Word!! I just wish I didn't have to work! :)

Have fun at the beach/retreat!! xxoo Shannon

Artistic 05/19/2016 #

Oooh. You're a pro now! Wanna share that first page? If so, you can email it.

Let me know if you want the send by date pushed back. We still have a month and a half. But ... :)

shannonlinde 05/20/2016 #

Hey!! I will send you a picture for sure! I really do need to push is back. I wasn't really sure what it would be like when we started thinking on this, and I'm finding it takes more time than I thought! I've never drawn or painted really! If we can push it back to Aug 3, that would be great! Life should slow down between my mom moving in and my work conventions! This weekend is the last one! And yes, I do have my bible journaling with me!! ;). Hope your writing and beach time is going well!!

Artistic 05/21/2016 #

Corolla has been wonderful in so many ways. I've spent the time meditating, praying, reading, writing and thinking. And, I've done some Bible art journaling and scrapbooking. :) Two entries (four pages) in the Inspire Bible, and three 12x12 layouts (a single and a two-pager).

There's nothing like getting away from home to get some clarity!

Artistic 05/21/2016 #

I moved the date out to Saturday, Aug. 6. :)

Artistic 05/21/2016 #

You've probably seen this already, but I just came across it -- an article on how to overcome the fear of Bible art journaling:

https://www.illustratedfaith.com/jann-gray-doing-what-scares-you/

Artistic 05/23/2016 #

Thanks so much for the Illustrated Faith stickers! And the paperclips are SO cute. Thank you!

shannonlinde 05/25/2016 #

Good Morning!! I got our postcard and I LOVE it!! Sanddollars have so much meaning in my life, so this was perfect! I'll write about that story later! :)

I'll tell you what!! Unbelieveable 450 is UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!! I want to go there TODAY!!! I am so glad your writing retreat was good for getting clarity! The ocean has a very special place in my spiritual journey!

Thanks for moving the date! I worked on another page last night. I am having a little trouble getting into the tiny spaces in the pictures, but I am doing my best!! :) I am going to be moving on over to the opposite page and doing double pages too I think!

I am so glad you like the paperclips and stickers!! I am finding my Bible does not fit in the box any longer, so I am going to make a Bible cover for it!

I am excited to take a look at the link you sent! I haven't seen it yet, so that will be a great read! I am off this Friday - Tuesday, so I will be trying some more techniques! Would you e-mail a couple pictures of another page or two you have done? I'd love to have a little sneak peak!

I have found a new product "masking fluid" that I am going to try! We'll see how it goes!!!

Have a great weekend!! xxoo Shannon :)

Artistic 05/25/2016 #

Will do on the pics.

One of the entries I did while in Corolla turned out horrible -- using oil pastels. I'll not be using those again any time soon. The other layout I did there, I LOVE! :)

Wow, if your Bible doesn't fit in the box already, you must be using a lot of embellishments. So far, I've only used stickers and one page has a paper flower on it. I have some more (paper flowers) I want to use this weekend.

I was in Lifeway Christian Store yesterday looking at Bible covers. :) I know what I want, but they didn't have it. I'll try Heaven & Earth this week.

Artistic 05/26/2016 #

Just sent you three pics of pages via email.

Media for each: Perfect Peace = watercolor pencil (did this one in Corolla and love how it turned out!)

Lighthouse = stamping and acrylic paint (I masked the verse from the stamp to just get the lighthouses first, then blocked the lighthouse to get the verse in the middle)

Courage = Watercolor marker brushes, scrapbooking materials

I started on a page today, then realized I didn't have the journaling markers with me!

shannonlinde 06/ 7/2016 #

Good Afternoon!!

I am working on another page tonight and am actually going to use ACRYLIC paints!!! YIKES!!!! I'll see how that goes!!!

Did you ever find a Bible cover? ANd if so, what kind? I am trying to find one too!! Did you leave for your mystery trip yet?

xxoo Shannon

Artistic 06/11/2016 #

How did it go with the acrylic paint? I like using them.

Still looking at Bible covers. Since I'm in Pennsylvania at a retreat with four other writers-- yes, I'm barely home in June! :) -- I'm going to look in some stores here. The problem, I've discovered, is finding one that will be big enough as the Bible grows in thickness. :)

Mystery trip was last weekend. We ended up in Mount Airy, N.C. aka Mayberry RFD. Andy Griffith's hometown. Lots of fun!

I sent you a postcard from there. I'd be interested in knowing what the postmark says. I wondered if it would be the town's real name or if they cancelled all mail from the fictional "Mayberry."

shannonlinde 06/14/2016 #

Hey!!! Oh I really liked the acrylic paints!! I am going to do a little more with those tonight! I am trying to figure out how to do an angel on a page, so I think I might use acrylics for that!

I hear you on Bible covers! I am struggling to find one too. I also want it to be very sturdy to protect my Bible, because I cart it around with me all the time!!

What a fun life you lead!! :) I am stuck in my work cube all day, so I have to just think of you out on your adventures! I'll check that postmark for the postcard!! I LOVE Andy Griffith!!! I cannot believe you walked on that bridge!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Was it swaying like crazy? Did you have to hold your Mom's hand? YIKES!!!

Well, back to work I must go!! I'd rather be on a writing retreat in Pennsylvania!! :) xxoo Shannon

Artistic 06/19/2016 #

I took a page from your playbook last night and prepped four pages. That way they are ready for stamping or paint and I don't have to haul wet supplies wherever I go.

Scrapbook Expo is this week! My volunteer session is first up on Thursday at 1p.

shannonlinde 06/20/2016 #

Yaye!!! My Dad is coming this week for a visit, so I prepped a few pages, so I can do the same, if I have a few minutes to myself in the next few days! :)

I cannot WAIT to hear about your expo!!! SO much fun!

I have LOVED my week of happy envies you sent and am going to incorporate most everything into my Bible!! Including the daily thoughts pages! So awesome!

Marie Snyder, Lagamaz, has asked about Bible Journaling, so I am going to send her a few of my pages to see, via e-mail! And I'll make up a swap for our group too!

Have a great week! I am SO thankful God placed you in my life, Felicia!! xxoo Shannon

Artistic 06/20/2016 #

You and Marie were the two people I initially sent the Canadian magazine about Bible art journaling.

Artistic 06/26/2016 #

Whew! Exhausted! Got VERY LITTLE sleep the entire weekend but what a blast!

Volunteering is awesome, too. Not only do you get paid IN CASH immediately after shift, you get goodies, free admission (that doesn't expire!) to another show, and $5 off if you want to take a class.

Found something fabulous (at least I think so) for you in one of the classes I took, then went to the booth for more.

More details to come.

shannonlinde 06/28/2016 #

Hey!!! OH my goodness! Sounds like you had an AWESOME time!!! Cash is great, because you can just turn it right back into bought treasures!! :)

So glad you had fun!! I wonder what you have for me...... :) I also have something for you!!!

I am really having fun in my Bible! I struggle with the tiny spaces sometimes, but have found that ribbon works beautifully when I can't get into the tight spaces!!

Oh!!! I think our next girl's beach trip might be to Unbelieveable 450!!! I fell in love with that place and keep looking at it!! Talk to you soon!! xxoo Shannon

Talk to you soon! xxoo Shannon :)

shannonlinde 07/ 7/2016 #

WOW!! Thank you so much for the treasures from your weekend!! Sounds like you had a lot of fun!! I love the sticker borders!! Those will be awesome in our Bibles!!! I already colored in one of the cards too! These are fabulous!! Thank you so much for thinking of me!

The last two weeks have been crazy with my Dad visiting, but he left yesterday, so this whole weekend is reserved for me and my Bible. I already told my hubby he might have to eat pizza all weekend! I am excited to get back to it. I find myself looking into the story of the verses we chose, so each page has really be a nice bible study for me! I am so so thankful we are doing this together!!

xxoo Shannon :)

Artistic 07/10/2016 #

Was thinking about our next round. Is 24 entries (12 each) too many? Should we cut back? Maybe a total of 10 or 12 (for 5 or 6 each)?

Can you think of any other things we should do/try differently for Round 2?

shannonlinde 07/12/2016 #

Hey! I think we could do 12 pages, and that would be about two per week. Then we could exchange Bibles after 6 weeks. What do you think?

For round two, we could put in a short notes about what the verse meant to us, or what spoke to us as we studied maybe? Most pages have a little space for that. But only if you like that idea!

I'll do a little more thinking too! Do you have ideas?

I know for the next round, I want to do a few pages from Rebekah Jones tutorials, so I might go through her website and find some fun ones to do! :)

shannonlinde 07/12/2016 #

See above, but on second thought, I am not sure about writing too much. It might take away from our pages, especially as I just wrote something down at my desk and see my writing! :)

Artistic 07/12/2016 #

:)

I already do actual journaling on some pages.

12 total sounds like a plan. The only thing I can think of at the moment: sending the list of 6 pages/Scriptures when we mail out.

Like you, I'll do some thinking.

shannonlinde 07/12/2016 #

That sounds great!! If you don't mind my writing in your Bible, then I would love to do a bit of that next time too! Good idea to send our lists with our Bibles!

shannonlinde 07/20/2016 #

Some of the verses I would like to do for next time would need to be journaled on the adjacent page. For instance, Jer. 1:5. There is a picture of a different verse on that page, so we'd have to do our heartwork on the next page. Are you okay with that?

Artistic 07/20/2016 #

Shannon, that's fine. More often than not, I end up doing both facing pages. Not always though. :)

Is it just me or have you noticed that some of the gessoed pages tend to stick together?

I need to pick up the pace! I have been doing more writing. I prepped four sets of pages a while ago and haven't done them yet!! But I do have all of the embellishments set aside.

shannonlinde 07/20/2016 #

Hello There! I am finding I sometimes do two pages as well. Mostly art on one side and bible study notes on the other!

I haven't had my gesso pages stick yet. I use Art Basics Clear Gesso and after I put it on, I use my Ranger heat gun to dry it. I am finding that I need to be careful of the drips that go down into the binding.

I hear you on picking up the pace!! Most of the pages I have left are the extremely intricate ones, simply because I am scared!!! :) I can't believe that our send out date is in two weeks!! The time has flown on by, hasn't it? It is funny how I am recalling verses, and the pictures pop up into my mind. Love it!

I did have a little idea for our next swap! What if we try to do some verses that do not have a pre-printed picture!? :)

Works for me. Why don't you set up the next round's swap. Just let me know the password.

shannonlinde 07/21/2016 #

I sure can do that. Did you come up with any other ideas for the next swap? If so, let me know and I'll include it in the swap details! You know what I wish? I wish we could get together sometime and do some Bible study and Bible Journaling together! That would be awesome!! :)

Hey! I am packing for a 4 1/2 day quilting retreat and of course, I am putting in my Bible Journaling supplies! I have a few more pages to go over the next couple of weeks! You know what is great? I am using a lot of the embellishments that you sent to me when you went to scrapfest last year! I have saved all the envelopes you have sent along with the notes, and you sure have had me a lot for the week of happy envies swap!

I'll set up the next swap in the next couple of days! I am still trying to think of any other ideas!

Hope you have a wonderful week!!
xxoo Shannon

Maybe we're thinking too hard, about what to do next!

What about in addition to the shared pages/Scriptures, each person does an additional 2 or 3 entries of their choice and journals why they were led to do those pages in their partner's Bible. When the send back occurs, include a note saying which pages were the spirit-led ones.

I think you are right!! :)

I love your idea and will put that in our next swap description.

Re a meet-up. Wisconsin and Virginia are a ways away from each other. A mid-way meet-up is something to consider. Ohio seems to be the between spot.

I did some googling to see if there was anything special going on in central Ohio. Discovered something that looks really cool. Don't know anything about it, but it's in March 2017 (enough time to save up some pennies to go!) in Columbus: www.memoriesexpo.com.

The 2016 list of vendors for Memories Expo looks like this expo might be even bigger than Scrapbook Expo.

We could potentially do the event and stay an extra day. A long weekend of Bible journaling, scrapbooking and shopping!

Hey!! I got back from my retreat late last night and was out of touch for a few days, due to spotty internet. Kind of good, but kind of scary in a way! I missed a lot in five days!

The Memories Expo is certainly something to think about for sure! It looks like a lot of fun! I will do a little more investigating on that! I would love to do the event and have a long weekend! March is a good month for me!

My hubby forgot to tell me until a few minutes ago, that he stacked up all my mail, including a box from you, in the ocean room while I was gone!! Now I have to wait till I get home to open it!!! That rascal! It is like waiting for Christmas morning as a kid!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did!! I did!!!!!! You are AMAZING!!!!!!!! How you are SOOOOOOO creative is such a wonderful mystery to me!!!! Okay! I have to tell you, that I pulled off that awesome washi tape that you taped up my "open this first" envelope with and already put it in one of my Bible pages!!! This is going to be an awesome week!! And my birthday tied in too!! I feel a little selfish since I seem to get you sending to me so often, and I know Marie misses swaping with you too, but I sure do delight in your envelopes!! And I save them all, you know!!!! xxoo Shannon
