Description:

Looking for quick project fix? or a project to use up some pretty scraps of fabric? or a nice small thoughtful gift? This might just be the project for you!

Have a look over at Purl Bee for the instructions to make these adorable, easy, and thoughtful gifts. Follow the general directions to make 3 sachets for your one partner, but do not stuff the sachets...instead send them flat and unstuffed for your partner to fill as they would like.

This will allow them to choose their own filling, and will keep the postage low, and will remove any postal rule issues of sending plant based materials if this is an issue for your country.

You may keep the look of them polished and plain as in the tutorial or add a bit of embellishment if you desire. Buttons, embroidery, beads etc.....The three sachets may be different fabrics if you'd like to try for some rainbow shades as in the example or all the same....that is up to the sender.

I have been making these to add into knitted baby gifts lately, although a stack of them would make a lovely gift on their own.

So you will construct the sachets just up to the point where you would next be turning them right side out. Your partner will do that when they receive them and will fill them stitch closed the final bit.

THIS SWAP IS INTERNATIONAL. Send unstuffed, inside a greeting card or between cardstock and you should be able to send as letter mail. Made using the tutorial instructions, 3 of these weigh only 8 grams...or 1/4 of an oz....so postage can be low.

All fabric choices will be senders choice and embellishments optional. Quilting cottons, linens, tartans, suiting, silks or velvets all would be lovely......

As always please endeavour to send something that you would love to receive.

If you have a tough time locating lavender to stuff them with it can be purchased online cheaply through Aliexpress....that is where I get mine:)

*****Once Partners are assigned, I will use random.org to choose a winner from one of the swap participants to receive a second set of three sachets made by me as well********
