There will be ONE partner for this swap. AND this is a 2 part swap!

Take any size envelopes and alter them with paint, fabric, stamping, zentangle, collage, transfers, stickers...try something new! Please make sure that you have left space for the address area and return label area.

Create 4 altered envies. They may be the same or different, it is up to you. You may make your own envelopes, but please alter them as well.

The second part is to send these envelopes in a larger altered envelope. Please DO NOT BEND OR FOLD what you have created for you partner.

Please keep in mind, good swapping rules apply and I will angel, but I hope that there will be no need for that! Have fun!

Boy, that's a lot of altered mail art for one swap! I usually spend a lot of time drawing on just one for a quality piece. Maybe I do too much?

Each artist finds a pathway to the finished piece. I like to draw, but it does take much longer that say, collage or stamping treatment. I did mention, "try something new", so if that stimulates you, let it fly!

I'm gonna use my Geli plate! That's OK right?

needlewings....how about doing one envie and then scanning or copying it however many times you want. That still is a decorated envie.

Geli plate sounds great & I love the suggestion for scanning. Thanks for the input! I sure hope some of our watchers join in, there is still time. I have collaged, stamped, stenciled and have been having a ball!

Edited down to one partner and changed sign up to the 19th. Come on yo mail artists!

Got mine done and they are pretty.....a real zentangle star! Made for two partners. Anyone want to do a private swap for the second 4?

coleenfranks 03/16/2016 #

Did one page, scanned and printed on card stock. It made lots of pretty envies, plus some for myself, of course. Scanning is really the way to go.. Easy-peasy swap then.

What kind of printer will take card stock? I tried a 110lb paper and wouldn't go in,so I'd be interested in that bit of information! I have an HP photosmart plus printer, that scans. Thanks!

OOh scanning is brilliant idea, thanks!

BeckyG56, I have an HP Photosmart C6283 All-in-One. Rather an old machine now. I printed about 12 pieces of card stock with no problem. Then it said "paper jam." I couldn't move it to get to the back of it. I turned it off and on a couple times. Finally it spit a whole intact piece out. When hubby came home and checked it he said there was no paper jam. Haven't tried it again since then. So, there you have it. I think most copiers should be able to do card stock.
