Description:

What do you like about your state? What is your state famous for? What is the state bird, flower, main tourist attraction?

This is a bookmark swap! Show your State Pride on a bookmark.

Bookmark must be hand made, any medium. Digital, cross stitch, paper, paint, collage, yarn, fabric... Put some thought and care into this!

The bookmark must be at least 4 inches long, maximum about 9 inches long. Must be at least 1 inch wide. (and whatever the equivalent centimeters might be!)

International swappers welcome! If you don't have states then use- district, province, etc...

Make 3 bookmarks, and send 1 bookmark to each partner (so we'll have 3 partners each).

Questions? Let me know!

2/13/07, Update: Okay, I did say "hand made". So let's stick to that for this swap and I'll start another one for store-bought. -Margaret

I live in Canada, but I have a winter home in Florida, so I will do Florida! Love it there!

I live in France and it's going to be hard to do a bookmark on my region, so I'd like to do it on the country. Hope that's okay.

That is fine, Tassy!

Yes, Emily, that works. Sounds good to me!

i luv the bookmark idea, but the homemade is not for me, i take it we cant send bought bookmarks that also show the history of our province?

user3165 01/23/2007 #

Sure, Pink, that would be fine by me! I have no objection to sending a store-bought bookmark.

Mereridkat: I don't mean to be anal (not really!) but your swap description says:

"Bookmark must be hand made, any medium. Digital, cross stitch, paper, paint, collage, yarn, fabric... Put some thought and care into this!"

If this is not really for handmade bookmarks, then I think you should edit your description accordingly. (I don't want to spend a lot of time making bookmarks only to get storebought ones back.) Thx.

I have updated the description. Let's keep this to hand-made items. I'll do another swap for store-bought. Sorry for the trouble!

No problem - thanks, I'm back in!

Hi Stixbrowntn: Received your bookmark today and am researching all of the symbols - will get back to you when I either have them all figured out - or am stumped! Thx! T.

Teena - thanks for the lovely aligator bookmark - how did you make the bookmark?

user5885 03/21/2007 #

Hi Suefitz- I made it by transferring photos onto fabric and then quilting the whole thing together. Glad you liked it.

rnwannabe, I have not received your bookmark yet and was wondering when you mailed it. Thx. T.
