Description:

I will be hosting a series of different color and or themed washi tape swaps. That way, if you like a certain color scheme or theme, you can pick & choose the tape swaps you want to send/receive. Of course, if you are like me and you just plain love washi tape, you might just join them all – LOL!

This swap will be for PURPLE washi tapes. You will send each of your 2 partners, 4-5 different washi tapes that are predominently purple in color. They may, however, have another color on them (i.e. purple/white lines). The length of the tapes should be a minimum of 15 inches. Please wrap your tape around a shiny surface so it can be easily removed. Playing cards work great.

Notes:

  • If using “dollar store” playing cards, please cover them with clear packing tape. I find that the last row of tape tends to peel up some of the card design.

  • Please send good quality washi tape (no deco/plastic tape, decorative thin Scotch tape, Dollar Store brand, heavier paper tape, or Studio G brand which is sold at Michael's and JoAnns in the bargain bins). The tape should rip easily with your fingers and not crease when wrapped around the card. Some of the cheaper brands lose the "stickiness" when unwound.

  • Please decorate the front of your mailing envelopes with PURPLE washi tape.

  • Please include your swap-bot ID and the name of the swap.

  • Make sure to have some PURPLE washi fun! :)

Minimum joining requirements: 4.96, with no 1s or 3s in the last 6 months, without a good explanation (if this describes you, please send me a courtesy PM to explain).

Do you mean to NOT send any of the following? --decorative thin Scotch tape, Dollar Store brand, heavier paper tape, or Studio G brand which is sold at Michael's and JoAnns in the bargain bins---

This part is new, it seems. I store all my tapes in one place and do not keep packaging so I am not sure if I have any of these tapes..

(reposted this as I won't be able to join the blue and green before my question is answered)

Yes, I mean do NOT send any of what you have listed - Scotch tape, and Dollar Store & Studio G tapes. The latter two tend to be more stiff and papery, kind of like a paper sticker (when you tear them, you can see a white edge) and they are less pliable than real washi tapes.

I, too, store all mine in bins without their packaging and have no idea of what brand they are. I like them all but maybe others don't and this is going to keep me from joining because I don't want to risk sending the wrong kind.... :(
