Description:

Make up a kit for a bookmark. You can include either cross stitch material already bordered to make a bookmark, a piece of aida 8" x 4" inches or cross stitch paper. You must also include a piece of felt to back the bookmark, a really nice pattern and enough threads to complete the bookmark

Make this something your recipient really can't wait to start! Check their profiles and try to make sure they just love your present.

You must also put it in a ziplock or similar bag

I think I like this swap, but I do not know what's a ziplock..........I cannot find a translation (it is not a zipper isn't it?)

May a bookmark be without felt? I have several that are simply stitched on Aida and look great.

a ziplock is the name brand term used for a small plastic bag (a sandwich bag) with a "zipper" along the top that keeps things secure.

It can be without felt as long as there is enough material to double over to cover the back and any kind of small sturdy bag would be great - its just to protect it in the post and to keep it in whilst you are working on it

I am having so much fun putting my kit together for my partner, its almost ready to send, my printer ran out of ink so I'm waiting for my husband to pick up more on his way home from work, then I can print my pattern and send it off! This is such a great swap, would love to have more bookmark swaps, maybe themed for the holidays?
