Description:

Okay, I've never done this before, but the idea fairly popped into my head and stuck to me like a dust bunny to a bowl of honey, so I thought I'd give it a try. Should be interesting enough at least. Here are the requirements:

You must have an analog camera, as you will be shooting with black and white film, and then sending that film to your partner.

So, it's a given that you must know how to operate an analog camera. Anything from a 35mm on up should be fine.

Your film should be 36 exposures, and ASA according to the lighting of environment you are shooting in.

This is what you will do:

Since this shoot theme is "beautiful abstraction," you will be shooting abstract images. But make them beautiful! This is so open ended, you can incorporate anything really. You can use nature, shadows, man made objects, fruits, all sorts of things. Get creative with this!

Once you finish the shoot (you will be given roughly a month to complete the shoot and send the film) you must make sure that you rewind you film tightly and no little tails are sticking out of the can! Your film must be placed in a film canister- please do not just put the film can directly in the envelope~

Some things to consider are lighting, natural light, and shadows. This is the most basic of black and white photography, and ideally you want to stick with natural light, and avoid using flash cubes.

Please take your time with this. All exposures should be shot with care and have a story to tell in and of themselves.

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me, or leave a comment below.

I hope this swap attracts some like minded people who love photography~!

hey, i was just wondering if i'd ever get the film back or the negatives or anything? Or if it would be a better idea to develop the photos and then send them? otherwise, it's a really good idea and i'm up for it.

huhuu! I'm so glad this swap does still exist. I'm looking forward to use my cam! :) I really hope we both will get on together good! <3
