Description:

Hi! Have you thought about giving making envelopes a try, but you're new to it or have only made a few? Do you want a swap where you can try and not be criticized or judged for trying a new craft? Then you're in the right place! This swap is for those who are brand new to making envelopes or have just gotten into making them. Seasoned envelope makers are welcomed to join as well, but keep in mind you may get envelopes from those who are brand new to the craft.

You will have 1 partner and send them 3 handmade envelopes. Envelope size is senders choice, but nothing small. Keep in mind swappers will be using these to send things out in and/or to use in things like junk journals, Smash Books, etc. Envelopes can be made from a number of materials including, but not limited to cardstock, magazine covers/pages (if using pages please make sure they are the thicker magazine pages), craft paper, calendars, wallpaper and more. If you make plain white envelopes you must embellish/decorate them in some way.

You must have at least a 4.98, 10 type 2 swaps completed and rated for, no 1's or 3's in the last year and you must have signed in to Swap-Bot the day before partners are assigned. I will ban anyone who doesn't meet the requirements and any iffy or potential problem swappers.

If you have any questions please PM or leave them below. Please try your best even if you are new (like me) and do your best work. Happy swapping!

I'm a newbie and haven't completed 10 swaps yet. Would you consider a private swap for this? I'll even send first.

I really like the idea of this swap, but before joining, I was wondering what you mean by, "Envelope size is senders choice, but nothing small." Small can be so many things and I would hate to make something that my partner would consider small and I think isn't. As an example, I have some envelopes I made that are 3.5"x5"... are those too small?

StarryNights 01/30/2014 #

@cynlen The size of the envelope should be around the size of a 'regular' envelope that meausres 3.5" x 6". A touch smaller as what you said you make of 3.5" x 5 is fine, but nothing smaller. Of course you can make bigger if you choose.

@cherrihurt yes, I will do a private swap with you. Do you know how to set up a swap? If not this is good practice and I can help you or I can set it up. Let me know.
