Vision Board

My visions are around weight loss, falling in love, travel, and finances. I love religious/spiritual items and although I am Christian I would love to see things from other religions also. I will be making small boards each with its own theme. Each board will be about 5x7 so smaller items would be greatly appreciated.

My theme for 2014 is "nourish" (body / mind / spirit / creativity). I'd love images with that word, but also especially love pictures of: up-close floral, waterfalls, moody skies, rain, sunbeams, people laughing or holding hands, anything that represents growth & nourishment. I prefer no religious images, but I'm open to ones that lean more toward metaphysical & earth spirituality.

@tanjch I hope you decide to join. That's a great idea about more partners. I actually left it at one partner on purpose because my intent was just to give us all a start on our boards. Vision boards are so personal I want to provide most of my own but I would also love some items from a fresh perspective.

My board is all about adventure and learning. I'm an atheist, so if you send me religious items in some sort of misguided effort to convert me I will give you a 1, no matter what. You have no right to force your beliefs on me, no matter what your imaginary friend says. I find religion offensive.

I have to agree with @TerryF I'm not a fan of religion but would never insult a person for their beliefs, that is just plain rude. I have this swap on my watch list because I really like the idea and @seekingjoytoday is a lovely person, but now I'm just not sure.

The themes for my board are success, family, happiness, spirit, (no religious theme, please), finances.

From the FAQs:

There are only three different rating criteria: I got my stuff and it met posted swap requirements (5 points); I got my stuff, but it didn't meet the posted swap requirements (3 points); I never got anything (1 point). Keep in mind that you are NOT rating your partners on whether or not you liked what you received, only on if it met the requirements of the swap.

Thank you all for your contribution to this discussion. It's unfortunate and sad for me that a bad attitude would shed bad light on what should be a optimistic swap. I have removed the person from the swap so I hope if you are watching and were hesitating that you will still consider joining.

My board is filled with things that I enjoy so anything from my likes list would be suiting, but I will also put a shorter list here. Please keep in mind that I am easy to please and you needn't fret, I do however prefer not to recieve anything overly religious.

Things that inspire me: dandelions, lobsters, forests/trees, goddesses, skulls/skeletons, pirates, tea parties, cemeteries, gypsies, fortune telling, the Gemini symbol and constellation, spiders, the moon, stars, honey bees, gnomes.

My profile is full of what I like but here's a short list to help my partner - I am also not easily offended and some spiritual/religious (any faith) items are fine if my partner is so inclined (but they are not mandatory).

I think this is a neat idea. some things that enjoy and help my grow

Greetings: This will be my first time doing a vision board, so I'm not sure about the size. My profile is pretty detailed so my partner can use what is there as a guide.

For 2014, I have two focus areas at the moment:

• writing (meeting my fiction deadliines, in paticular; but also maintaining my blog)

• weight loss and exercise

This will be my first vision board but I think it will be great fun!

I'm hoping to build a board around creativity and productivity, encouraging and increasing both. As well as reminding myself to exercise more. I could also use images/ quotes to remind myself not to anger so quickly. I'm fine with inspirational and spiritual quotes/ images but please nothing too religious.

Ack, just spotted a typo in my note above. Make that word PARTICULAR.

My board will be focused around positive self image, college (sea creatures would also be great for this as I'm studying marine biology), positive quotes, exercise, travel, and adventure

Sorry, I forgot to mention the size of my vision board: 5" x 8".

I think I may frame whatever I create. Just a thought as I wander a craft store! :)
