Rating requirement:4.85
Last day to signup/drop:August 15, 2013
Date items must be sent by:August 31, 2013
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

Send 1 partner a letter written on a pre-paid self-mailer - the kind where the post office prints a certain amount of postage right on the postalette (self-mailer). Vintage would be nice, although it is likely to require that you add extra postage.

The sign-up deadline is a month out to give you time to check your post office, or to find some on eBay (or where-ever). I'm not sure if these are available new, but there are lots of these available on eBay. Senders choice, so you can write your letter in advance if you'd like.

That's it. Keeping it simple. It's my first time creating an MZA swap, so sorry if I'm missing any of the criteria you have come to expect.

I need to pass on this one as I can't find any around here.

What are the keywords to find these on eBay? Pre-Paid Self-Mailer isn't working at all. :(

You want to look for "aerogramme".

The USPS is NOT selling these anymore, so you'd have to get foreign or vintage. I found a million of these on eBay when I WASN'T looking for them. Why do they vanish when I want them? A search for "Aerogramme" does turn up some options. It would be perfectly fair for this swap to buy a "pre-paid" aerogramme from some other country, as long as you add enough of your own country's postage to make it legit.

I have many postalettes that don't include postage - so I have to pass on this one :( but I'll keep my eyes out for a swap involving those w/o postage

Yeah, you have find vintage pre-paids. eBay has lots of them, especially non-USA (which would be fine for this swap, so long as you put the required amount of postage on it).

I found a vintage one from Greece and would like to mail it in an envelope. Please let me know if that is acceptable. The mailer itself is too nice to postmark over the stamps. Also the mailer itself may be too thin and fragile to make it through the modern system.

My mailer will be a little late because it is being sent in a stamp lot that is on back order.
