Description:

I hosted a collaged paper heart card in February and someone mentioned it would nice to have more of these type challenges. There is a saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” Let's do a collaged flower card.

Take a piece of card stock (any color, any size) and randomly adhere all sorts of different papers to it, overlapping the edges as you go (your papers can be decorative, printed with words, plain, sparkly, etc.). The idea here is not to worry about planning – just have fun with random papers. After you have completed this step, turn the card stock over so you can't see the covered side. Draw and cut out a flower or several flowers. (Feel free to use scissors, punches or die-cutting machines to cut out your flowers.) Turn over and see how pretty they look with the collaged papers you chose. It's kind of like a surprise – you never know what you're going to get. Now, take your flower(s) and make a card for your partner; not for them to send, but for them to receive and enjoy. Feel free to embellish your cards however you want to.

Please include a happy note for your partner to read – a little about you, your day, and perhaps what you like about spring.

This swap is sender's choice on colors/creativity.

Here's a flower I made tonight. I added a jeweled brad to the center. Fun!

So pretty, Beth. I enjoy these the collage cards a lot. I'm in and thank you for hosting.

Love the flower Beth! I'm in on this one, too! :-)

Thanks for the compliments! I edited the swap to include the use of die-cutting machines to cut out the flowers. It took me a while to cut out this one with scissors and I had to trim a bit to get it to look good. LOL!
