Description: | |
This is inspired by a swap I saw over in the public, and thought it was a really nice idea, and so I am making a UK only one for us British Birds. We will take a empty (clean) bottle, plastic would be better as there will be less chance of it getting broken and cheaper to post! You will then write a letter to your partner, telling them a little about yourself, what kind of day you have had etc. You will then put the letter in the bottle, put the lid on, seal the lid (sellotape or wax or something, to stop the lid being taken off and the contents lost!). Then you shall write your partners address on the bottle, and pop it in the post! You could also add a little gift in the bottle for your partner if you wish, but that is not a requirement for the swap. All the swap requires is 1 letter in a bottle. You shouldn't wrap the bottles up, as where is the fun in that? You will also have to take the bottles to the post office for posting, for reasons I will mention below, so please don't join if you won't feel comfortable going to the post office and asking for a bottle posting! Because the royal mail have a tendancy to lose things, and because the bottles could look like rubbish (how many people really post letters in bottles) there is a chance you may never receive your letter in bottle, through no fault of your partner, so you MUST take your bottles to the post office and ask for proof of postage. That way if your letter doesn't arrive, and your partner can proof they posted it you should still rate them a 5. If of course you get no bottle and your partner doesn't have the proof of postage you can rate them a 1, but please don't if they have the proof that they posted it. I think I have explained everything, but if you have any questions feel free to ask away. Hope you enjoy the swap! |
