My LYRIX Mixed Tape Round #1 (International)

ABOUT THIS LYRIX BOOK SWAP SERIES

This swap is the start of an ongoing series. For this swap you will create your Lyrix book and send to your partner. Two weeks after the swap deadline I will host a swap to move these Lyrix books and will continue this swap as long as there is interest.

HOW THIS SWAP WILL WORK? The idea is to get your lyrix book back filled with song pages to complete your Lyrix "mixed tape" ;-)

Your Lyrix book will travel around and collect music related to your "album cover" topic. It will be like a mixed CD and include different artist. Your partners can include their own original music, or local band -- it is up to them but they should label each page with artist and song title, who knows someone may want to check it out ;-)

What are LYRIX?

Lyrix are much like decos except that each page is decorated using lyrics from a song. Some are more plain with the words simply written in them, others are as artistic as decos with pictures and other ornamental adornments.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO DO:

• Create a book (similar to a friendship book or deco).

• On the front cover make your "album cover" - based on the type of music your Lyrix book should contain. (EXAMPLE: hip-hop, metal, disney etc.)

• Include 4 - 6 pages blank pages - each page will be filled in by future partners with one song - they can draw and/or include the lyrix (but make it look good, add some embellishments...not just plain old text)

• On the back of each, add your "credits" i.e. your contact info (full name and mailing address) and name of this swap.

LYRIX REQUIREMENTS:

• There is no required size but it is recommended to start with 5 X 5 which is not to small and big enough to decorate.

• Make sure it it is not to bulky, this will be traveling the world and we want to send these in FLAT ENVELOPES!!!!

• Your book should have 4 - 6 blank pages

• Your book should be nice and neat and show some creativity -- NO STICKER SLAPPING!!!

• No visible staples on the cover!

• You must laminate your cover - you can use clear packing tape to do this. This is important, because the idea is this book would travel all around the country or world and it must be able to withstand all of the shipping etc.

• Make sure to note your return address somewhere on the inside of the front or back cover. (you may want to type this part or PLEASE print legibly)

TO ENTER THIS SWAP - REQUIREMENTS:

• COMPLETELY filled out profiles a MUST! Fill out all the categories and it would be nice to add some of your own categories ;-) (If you have a very short/vague, profile there is a very high chance I will remove you from this swap!)

• No 1s or 3s in past 3 months

• Be an active member - must log on at least every two weeks

• You must have at least 10 total - type 2 or type 3 rated swaps - BY SIGN UP DEADLINE.

• If you cannot commit to this DO NOT enter the swap!!!!
