Description:

This is my first group swap that I am creating of photocards just for our group. There will be only one partner so you can pack all your more love and effort into your photocard. If you like this swap, check out the public swap I am hosting: photocards #3.

It is going to be a very simple and creative swap! All you have to do is to make one postcard using one nice photo! You could chose any theme, paint or write something on photo before printing, use frames or anything you like. Create something nice, it could be photo manipulation, too, as long as it is your own photograph.

Overall, I recommend NOT using glossy photo paper, matte is way better because matte paper does not have the shiny surface as glossy photo paper has, and it does not reflect colors as glossy paper does. Matte paper does not pickup as much dust as glossy paper does.

Photos have to be professionally printed! After printing photos stick some hard paper on the back to make it tough. Stick some stickers if you like and write something nice. MAKE THIS PHOTO LIKE A REAL POSTCARD! Send it naked! Do not use envelope, remember, you made photo-card and it has to be sent as a real postcard.

Please, print your photo on REAL PHOTO paper, better not home printings but as long as it looks professional it is O.K. Photos should be good quality.

The minimum mailing requirement for a piece of mail throughout the USA is 3" x 5", that means that your photocard can't be any smaller.

You are going to have 1 partner and send 1 photocard.

Have a nice time making this photo-card!

I use #1151 postcard stock from Red River Paper. It works great, haven't had a single complaint! Check it out at http://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/auroranatural.html

I really wish that folks in the USA realised that Australia is ahead of you in time when is 15th there is 16th here so hence we seem to get less time and so short times like you have are unfair to us. As much as I'd love to join I can't sorry.

SEND TIME EXTENDED: The send-date for this swap has been moved out another week, so it will be a total of 2 weeks from deadline to sign up to deadline to send, we want to be able to include all our members on BOTH sides of the world! Col hails from Australia and is a valued officer and member of our group; it is good that she spoke up in time for us to fix this! We will try to be sure that all future group swaps have at least a 2-week window of time between the close-date and the send-date. NOTE: for those of you that want to send earlier and don't want to wait 2 weeks to send, you can send anytime after the swap closes and the partners get assigned.
